Report, Gallery

The Mayor of Roma, Cr. Bruce Garvie and the SWDRA President, Konrad Crawford, officially opened Ironbark Raceway on Easter Sunday, 20 April, 2003. The track was opened in front of 2,500 people. It was a proud moment and a huge success for the Club.

Drivers and spectators alike, from across Queensland, came to the state's newest 1/8 mile drag strip, Roma's Ironbark Raceway and were treated to a top day of racing. There were 71 cars and 9 bikes that raced on the day and all found the track to be of very high quality.

Lionel Durre set the track record with a 5.48 second pass, in his twin turbo Pontiac Firebird.
