Test and Tune
19 June, 2004
Report, Gallery Racing

SWDRA held their most recent Test n Tune on 19 June, 2004. Conditions were good for racing with a cool, clear day and a dry track. There was only a small attendance of racers with a total of 75 passes for the afternoon. Both cars and bikes alike came out to try out the new startline. There were some new faces racing for the day with a small crowd to cheer them on.

Track Report

Because of the recent upgrades to the startline with new hot mix down, most drivers found the startline to be a little slippery even after some track preparation. The Track Committee found that more rubber is needed on the startline to ensure maximum traction, however racing continued in to the early evening.

The fastest pass for the day for a car was from Rhys Cochrane in his 308 powered Holden Torana with a time of 7.56 seconds at 96.9 MPH. Michael Dorrough had the fastest bike on his Kawasaki 636 with a time of 7.04 seconds at 106.1 MPH. All who attended had a fantastic day of drag racing.

The next Test n Tune will be held on 10 July, 2004 with racing starting at 12:00 pm.
