Drags and Burnouts meeting.

Well there may have been some technical issues at the start, but once they were resolved the meeting progressed to one that the club could be proud of. While there might not have been as many entries as some previous meetings, it was a successful meeting all the same. A big thankyou to the volunteers who do a tremendous job, especially to the Winkle's Tanya and Paul and Louise Schefe for their efforts in the tower. Also the club would like to thank those competitors that travelled considerable distances to make the meeting a success. Mal and Wayne Ross, Phil Halpin and Mick Tattam from St George, Matthew Loy from Warwick, John Haddock and Luke Paynter from Charleville, and Kiarra Hedge from Dalby. Also a big thankyou to all our wonderful sponsors especially the Roma Computer Centre for their sponsorship of the trophies for the day.

In the burnout competition Aiden Wilson had a great three rounds and ran out the winner with Heath Waugh runner up. In the bikes veteran racer Steve Dillon proved to be to good for Like Paynter on the dirt bike who was runner up. It's great to see Gavin Williamson back at the track and he was lucky to take out the 4x4 class just ahead of Darcy Proud who was runner up. Darcy Proud who competed in three classes was able to get over the line and take out the street class with Kiarra Hedge runner up. In the Fast street class Dennis Hurle had a wonderful afternoon after his limited success at Benaraby and managed to get over the line just ahead of long time competitor Damo McHugh who was runner up. In the outlaws class it was the battle of the Mohr brothers. Both had consistent passes all afternoon but it was older brother Shane that proved too good for younger brother Josh who was runner up.
